Description

TEC Edmonton hired Chinook Multimedia to develop a plan for a Regional Alliance Intake Site that could be part of the Government of Alberta's "Five Government Priorities". The Intake website would provide a hub for startups to access the business incubation services offered by the Regional Alliance partners.

Challenges

Our research for the strategic plan focused on an environmental scan in which we identified and analyzed more than 500 commercialization, technology transfer, incubation, and innovation websites worldwide in order to determine best practices for the Intake website. We collaborated with the alliance partners throughout and also created a mockup of the proposed website and a detailed action plan for its development. The environmental scan, mockup, and action plan all paid particular attention to the uses of social media tools. Our thanks to all of the Regional Alliance partners for contributing their questions, ideas, and understandings to the creation of the Strategic Plan.
